Liability for Links
With the verdict of 12.5.1998 (312 0 85/98), the District Court of Hamburg decided that, with the inclusion of a link, a website owner may, where applicable, also be made responsible for the content of the linked site. According to the court, this can only be avoided if those concerned expressly distance themselves from the relevant content. On our website we have included links to other sites in the internet.
For all of these links, the following is valid:
"We emphasize expressly that we have no influence over the composition or content of the linked pages. We therefore herewith distance ourselves expressly from all pages linked to our complete website, including all sub-pages. This statement applies for all links included in our website, and for the entire content of the pages to which these links and banners lead." (this verdict can be seen on www.online-recht.de). This disclaimer shall be considered as part of the internet offer on which this page is based. Should parts of it, or individual formulations not, or no longer, or not completely meet the applicable legal requirements, the remaining parts of the document and their content remain unaffected in their legality.
